PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cerventes Bison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lyov Kirijenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bison comes into the arena with The Beast by Tech N9ne blaring out of the sound system. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kirijenko throws a head kick but Bison moves out of range.

and Bison moves into the clinch.

Bison tries to land a knee to the head but Kirijenko blocks with his arms.

Kirijenko misses with a takedown attempt - Bison sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Bison clinches up with Kirijenko and pushes him back against the cage.

It looks like Lyov Kirijenko has been cut.

Bison using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Kirijenko has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Lyov Kirijenko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bison drops Kirijenko with a left and a right! Oh, Kirijenko is hurt - Bison dives into side control looking to finish!

Bison escapes and gets back to his feet.
Kirijenko throws a body punch but Bison moves out of range.

and Bison counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Kirijenko on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Kirijenko tries for a takedown but Bison sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Cerventes Bison has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lyov Kirijenko.
