Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John MacTavish!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jim Bigson!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Eliza Hachem and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacTavish lands a nice shot that snaps Bigson's head back.
John MacTavish seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bigson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Bigson wants to stand but MacTavish has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
MacTavish tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Bigson has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

Bigson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as MacTavish is looking to escape.
Bigson has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of MacTavish's face.

Bigson shoots in looking for a takedown but MacTavish manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bigson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

The referee asks Bigson politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Bigson prefers to stall for the moment though.
Jim Bigson has got the better of the ground game so far.
MacTavish takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
MacTavish is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Bigson off and has taken his back!

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jim Bigson hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

That was a close second round but I would say that John MacTavish will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


MacTavish tries to clinch but Bigson moves out of range.
MacTavish connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Bigson momentarily.
MacTavish throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Bigson on the side of the head.
John MacTavish is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Bigson fails with the takedown.

MacTavish is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

This has been an exciting period of action!

I would just about give that final round to Jim Bigson.
