Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paul Maul!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael Alexander!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Dean Styles and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maul works Alexander's body with a nice hook.
Alexander comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Alexander tries to clinch but Maul moves out of range.
Alexander throws a body punch but Maul moves out of range.
Alexander looks to land a right hand but Maul moved out of range.
Maul scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Alexander looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Maul drops Alexander with a beautiful combination! Alexander stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Maul is looking for the KO!


It looks like Michael Alexander has been cut.
Paul Maul seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Maul throws a right and a left that Alexander avoids nicely.
Maul dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Alexander tries to close the distance and clinch up but Maul swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Alexander throws a solid leg kick but Maul takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Alexander.
Alexander tries to clinch up but Maul circles away and keeps his distance.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Alexander rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Maul moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Maul moves into the clinch successfully.
Alexander is trying to maintain a safe position but Maul gets an underhook and turns Alexander into the cage.
Maul scores with a nice hook to the head.
Alexander wants a takedown but no success here.

Maul breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A head kick misses from Alexander.
Alexander looks winded!

Maul feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Alexander sprawling to the canvas! Alexander rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Maul finish him?!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Alexander gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Maul gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Alexander is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paul Maul!
