Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rafaelle Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rhys Cao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rafaelle Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rhys Cao!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Donatello Bradman and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cao scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Gracie doesn't seem bothered though.
Cao blocks the body kick.
Gracie gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Cao counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Cao keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Horrible takedown by Gracie or perhaps it was just good defense by Cao which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rafaelle Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gracie swings and misses with a hook to the body.

and Gracie takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Cao counters by clinching up.

enabling Cao to counter with a crisp jab.
Cao stuffs the takedown attempt from Gracie. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet.

Cao has closed the distance and engaged Gracie in a clinch.
Cao scores with a hook to the body.
Still in the clinch, Cao scores with a nice short uppercut.

Gracie jumps guard but Cao turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Cao pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Gracie swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Cao counters with a stiff right hand.
A shot to the body from Gracie misses
and Gracie takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Cao lands a right hook to the body.

Cao moves into the clinch successfully.
Cao lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Gracie tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Cao breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Gracie shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cao pinned against the cage. Cao gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Gracie fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cao avoids it really well and circles away.

Left hook, right uppercut from Cao.
Gracie tries to land a leg kick but Cao saw it coming and moves away.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown but Cao shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Gracie tries to clinch up
and Cao counters with a one-two to the body.

Cao moves into range and clinches up with Gracie.
Gracie jumps guard but Cao turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Cao breaks the clinch.
Gracie throws a series of punches but Cao moves out of range.
Gracie tries to clinch but Cao moves away
and Cao counters with a stiff right hand.

Cao clinches up against the cage.
Cao lands with a right to the head.
Cao managing to block the knees to the body from Gracie.
Cao lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gracie wants to get back to striking at distance but Cao won't allow it.
Cao working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Cao throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Gracies head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Cao creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Gracie is rocked!
Cao lands a hook to the side of the head.
Oh Gracie is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cao comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Cao manages to break the clinch.
Gracie throws an off balance right hand
and Cao counters with a huge left! Gracie is in big trouble! He's backing up but Cao isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Gracie from any more damage. A dominating finish by Cao!
