Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jarek Pushki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and ILia Kosarev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jarek Pushki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, ILia Kosarev!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Ivan Kurochkin and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kosarev misses the jab.
Pushki blocks a low kick nicely.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kosarev. Pushki does a little dance to reset his feet.
Kosarev leaves Pushki with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Kosarev throws a right and a left that Pushki avoids nicely.
Pushki misses with a takedown attempt - Kosarev sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Kosarev keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Pushki rushes Kosarev and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Pushki creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Pushki has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Kosarev after a bit of a struggle.
Pushki lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Kosarev tries to circle away but Pushki has him pinned against the cage.
Pushki's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Pushki has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Kosarev is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
A frustrated look appears on Kosarev's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Pushki wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

A frustrated look appears on Kosarev's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Pushki has Kosarev pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Kosarev manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Pushki goes for a takedown attempt but Kosarev pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Kosarev throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Pushki.


It looks like Jarek Pushki has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sloppy strikes from Kosarev. Those never looked like landing.
Kosarev slaps away a takedown attempt from Pushki, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Good leg kick by Kosarev there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Pushki shoots in looking for a takedown. Kosarev tries to sprawl out of it but Pushki keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kosarev manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pushki wants to take the fight to the mat but Kosarev manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Kosarev has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

With the fighters up against the cage, Pushki throws an elbow but misses.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kosarev postures up in Pushki's guard and throws a big left but Pushki blocks it.
Pushki trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Kosarev wants to get up but he can't break Pushki's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Pushki escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kosarev gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Kosarev throws an elbow that misses. Pushki uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kosarev's guard. Nice move by Pushki!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jarek Pushki.
Nice takedown defense from Kosarev. No joy for Pushki on that attempt.
