Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gabriel Rhababer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Katsuyori Shibata!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rhababer keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Rhababer throws a hook but Shibata avoids it easily.
Shibata throws a solid leg kick but Rhababer takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Shibata.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close round but I would say that Gabriel Rhababer will probably get the nod.

Rhababer closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Shibata to the mat! Shibata manages to get full guard.

Shibata throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Rhababer escapes and throws Shibata's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Shibata pushes Rhababer away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Rhababer gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Shibata strikes from the bottom but Rhababer takes advantage and advances to full mount!

Shibata pushes Rhababer off looking to stand but Rhababer dives back in and keeps control.
Rhababer wants to pass the guard but Shibata is defending well.

Shibata tries to kick Rhababer off in order to stand up. Rhababer Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Rhababer content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Shibata is looking to reverse the position.

Rhababer has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Rhababer seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Shibata for as long as he can get away with.

Gabriel Rhababer is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Rhababer shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Shibata's guard.
