PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Simon Humble (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Dan Henderson was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dan Henderson!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Summer Carpenter and Steve Erwin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Humble tries for a takedown but Henderson circles away easily
and Henderson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Humble throws a sloppy head kick and Henderson moves out of range easily.
Henderson lands with a nice combination. Humble backs away looking to recover.
Humble pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Henderson back to the cage. Humble follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Humble shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Henderson tries to bum rush Humble with a series of wild strikes but Humble uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Humble shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Henderson pinned against the cage. Henderson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Simon Humble. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Humble tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Humble displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Henderson throws out the jab.
Henderson moves out of range of the body kick from Humble.
Henderson just misses with a punch to the body.

and Henderson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Humble wants to clinch but Henderson slips to the side
and Henderson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Henderson feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Humbles jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Henderson misses with a right hand
and Humble makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Humble wants to clinch up but Henderson keeps it at a distance.
Humble darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Humble with a nice cross.
Henderson checks a low kick from Humble.
Humble needs to keep his hands up - Henderson had a free shot at his head there.

Humble is rocked!
Henderson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Humble tries to clinch but Henderson moves away
and Henderson counters with a left to the body.

Henderson jabs Humble to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Humble is breathing heavily.
Humble shoots in but Henderson avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Humble shoots in for a takedown but Henderson shows good takedown defense.
A decent looking cross lands there for Henderson.
Humble gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Henderson gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
