Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lane Brooks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sova Borgia!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Ben Zyskovitsi and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Borgia instigates a clinch.
Borgia pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Borgia keeps the fight on the outside.
Brooks doesn't manage to clinch there - Borgia circles away.
Sova Borgia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brooks throws a head kick that half lands.
It looks like Sova Borgia has been cut.
Borgia scores with a takedown into Brooks's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Brooks looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Borgia postures up.
Brooks has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Borgia can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Borgia wants to get up but he can't break Brooks's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Borgia trying to control the position from guard on top but Brooks is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Brooks will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Borgia tries to free his leg and advance position but Brooks is retaining full guard.
Borgia throws a big elbow that misses.
Brooks controls Borgia momentarily but Borgia frees himself.
Borgia has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Brooks to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Borgia is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Brooks pulls down on the head and he's put Borgia to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Lane Brooks!
