Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Anders Halme (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Francois Toussaint (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Halme's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Danzig - Mother. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Toussaint pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Halme fails in his attempt to clinch.

Halme scores a takedown into full mount!
Toussaint tries to lock up and control but Halme gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Halme jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Toussaint manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Toussaint tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Halme is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Toussaint will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Toussaint tries to bench press Halme off him but Halme keeps the position.

Halme has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Toussaint misses with a series of wild punches.
Toussaint throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Halme shoots for a double leg takedown but Toussaint sprawls well. He's pushed Halme's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Halme is looking for a kimura but Toussaint is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Halme to get the leverage.

Halme shoots in but no luck this time.
Toussaint misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Halme seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Toussaint does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Toussaint is in all sorts of trouble here.
Halme takes Toussaint 's back.
Toussaint wants to escape the position.
Halme has Toussaint flattened out and is raining down punches.
Halme is looking to control Toussaint but Toussaint is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Halme cracks Toussaint with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Toussaint from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Toussaint wants to control his opponent's hands but Halme gets his hands free.
Halme is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Halme gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Halme gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Halme apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Halme closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Toussaint to the mat! Toussaint manages to get full guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Toussaint is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Anders Halme just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Halme feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Halme is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Toussaint is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Halme works to advance to full mount. Toussaint defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Halme, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
