The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krosier fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Krosier looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Padilha is fending him off so far but Krosier persists. Nope, Padilha circles away and we're back to standing.
Krosier looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Padilha throws a body punch but Krosier moves out of range.
Krosier closes the distance and clinches up with Padilha, looking for a takedown. Krosier pushes Padilha against the cage but Padilha circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Padilha wants to take Krosier's back but he can't do it this time.

Krosier is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Padilha has hold of Krosier's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Krosier manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Krosier tries to hold on but Padilha postures up.
Krosier is wriggling around trying to escape.

Padilha looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Padilha is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Krosier is surviving well by controlling Padilha's body position as best he can.
Padilha moves to the back position.
Krosier rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Krosier has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Padilha is working away from the top position though.
Krosier is breathing heavily.
Krosier is looking to improve his position.
