The crowd seem to be enjoying Joesph's choice of entrance music: Fight Music. The key to victory for Demon Jin has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Demon Jin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Anthony Joesph!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Sosuke Kotani and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jin gets the takedown into side control.
Joesph tries to improve position but can't.
Joesph regains half guard.
Joesph is refusing to be controlled, as Jin sits in half guard.

Jin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Joesph keeps working.
Joesph wants to control but Jin is keeping busy.
Jin could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Joesph is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Jin pulls his head out easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Joesph misses with a takedown

and Jin counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Joesph looks gassed!
Jin tries to pass the half guard into mount. Joesph knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Joesph is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jin's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jin's back!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jin has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Joesph.

Jin is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Jin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Joesph patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
Well, with Joesph on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Jin is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
Jin manages to reverse the position and now he's in Joesph's guard. Nice work there by Jin.
Joesph tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Joesph looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jin is one step ahead there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jin in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Joesph is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Jin has his hands clasped together but Joesph extends an breaks Jin's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Joesph.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Anthony Joesph!
