Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Katsu Higashikuni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barry Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scott has chosen Bang - By Barry Scott as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Katsu Higashikuni has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Katsu Higashikuni seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Katsu Higashikuni!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Barry Scott!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Higashikuni getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Higashikuni lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Scott chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Higashikuni can pounce on him.
Higashikuni dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Scott. That did some damage!

Scott fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Higashikuni, pushing him back against the cage.
Scott lands a body shot.
Scott digs a right hand into Higashikuni's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Higashikuni's gas tank.

That was a close round but I would say that Katsu Higashikuni will probably get the nod.
