The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riley with a lazy takedown attempt
and Williams counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Riley closes the distance looking to clinch
and Williams counters with a right hand to the body.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Riley.
Williams leaves Riley with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Billy Riley. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Williams swats away the attempt to clinch by Riley.
Riley shoots for a takedown but Williams saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Riley drops back, looking for a kneebar! Williams looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Williams looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Williams!

Well Williams has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
