Mag walks into a jab.
Freason forces Mag back against the cage and clinches.
Mag prevents Freason from breaking the clinch.
Mag creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Freason's defenses.
Mag landing some nice looking knees to the body.

Freason on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Freason throws an elbow but it misses.
Mag misses with a knee strike.

Mag is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Freason is breathing heavily.
Mag lands a nice elbow.
Mag using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Freason has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Freason is trying to pull guard but Mag has him pressed against the cage.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Freason just misses with a elbow thrown towards Mag's brow.
Freason has hold of one of Mag's legs. Mag is fighting the takedown attempt but Freason gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Freason wants to control from the top but Mag keeps moving.

Mag is looking to stand back up but Freason counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Mag.

Freason stands up and beckons Mag to join him on the feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Freason counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Freason.

Freason breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cro Mag is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Mag tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Freason manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Freason shoots in but no luck this time.
Nice takedown defense from Mag. No joy for Freason on that attempt.
Freason closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Mag is looking to escape.
Freason takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Freason in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Mag tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Freason!
