The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hauki feints and then cracks Morgan's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Morgan down.
Morgan avoids the head kick by Hauki.
Morgan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hauki is fending him off so far but Morgan persists. Nope, Hauki circles away and we're back to standing.
Eric Morgan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Morgan manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Hauki on his heels. He'll look to pass Hauki's guard now, I'm sure.

Hauki tries to lock up and control but Morgan gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Morgan shoots in for a takedown but Hauki shows good takedown defense.

Morgan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hauki tries to avoid it but Morgan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hauki to the ground. Hauki escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Taneli Hauki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eric Morgan.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Morgan is defended easily by Hauki.
Hauki avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hauki swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Morgan shoots in looking for a takedown. Hauki tries to sprawl out of it but Morgan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hauki manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Morgan fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Morgan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hauki avoids it really well and circles away.
Morgan's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Hauki connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Morgan scrambles back to his feet.

It looks like Eric Morgan has been cut.
Morgan wants to clinch
and Hauki cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hauki connects with a leg kick. Morgan looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Morgan moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Morgan shoots in and drives through. Hauki sprawls well.

Morgan dives in and grabs Hauki's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hauki pushes down on Morgan's head and hops out.
Morgan on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Hauki. Hauki obviously looking to wear him down.
Hauki lands a brutal head kick. Morgan looks out on his feet and Hauki throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
