PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Derrick Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marc Julian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Julian has chosen Turn My Swag On as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Johnson throws a front kick that sends Julian stumbling back into the cage.
Julian takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Johnson ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Johnson tries to clinch but Julian moves out of range.
Julian takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Johnson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Marc Julian is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Johnson fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Julian.

Johnson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Julian is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Johnson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Julian's back instead.
You can see the frustration on Julian's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
