Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Robert Urban!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Kevin Pappas!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Chris Edwards and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pappas scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Pappas tries to close the distance and clinch up but Urban swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Urban will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Pappas darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Urban avoids the head kick by Pappas.
Pappas swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Pappas misses with a jab, cross combination.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Pappas paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Urban lands with a slapping head kick.
Urban lands a nice looking body kick.
Pappas avoids a punch combination nicely.
Oh, that's a big right hand from Pappas and Urban goes tumbling to the canvas! Pappas follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
Pappas prevents Urban from improving his position.
Pappas tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Pappas is thwarting Urban's attempts to control the position.
Pappas wants to get back to his feet.
Pappas is looking to pass Urban's guard but actually Urban recovers to full guard.
Urban has a closed guard, preventing Pappas from standing up.
Pappas gets to his feet - Urban follows without any prompting.
Urban shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pappas as he avoids it easily.
Pappas tries to clinch there but Urban circles away.
Pappas moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Urban goes down! Can Pappas finish him!?
Pappas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Urban. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pappas wants to control from the top but Urban keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pappas decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Urban, up you get!
Urban wants to clinch up but Pappas keeps it at a distance.
Pappas lands a big shot that drops Urban! Can he finish him?
Urban is rocked!
Pappas gets to his feet - Urban follows without any prompting.
Pappas looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Pappas catches Urban napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Urban to the canvas!
Oh Urban is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Urban could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Pappas has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Urban is proving hard to escape from.
Pappas stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Pappas lands a brutal uppercut that launches Urban off his feet! Urban tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
