PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Philip Stinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King Kong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stinson comes to the cage accompanied by Everywhere I go- Hollywood Undead. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Philip Stinson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, King Kong!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Jonathan Paton and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stinson takes the fight into the clinch.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Stinson's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Stinson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Kong really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stinson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Stinson keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kong's head.
Stinson forces his way into half guard.
Nice strikes from Stinson there.
Stinson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kong with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kong can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Stinson lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Stinson has managed to clinch.
Stinson has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kong avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Kong is pressed up against the cage. Stinson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kong down to the mat. Kong avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Philip Stinson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kong lunges at Stinson with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Stinson's hand.
Stinson dives in and grabs Kong's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kong pushes down on Stinson's head and hops out.
Kong avoids a punch combination nicely.

Nice sprawl there from Kong as Stinson shoots in.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kong lands a nice hook to Stinson's body. Stinson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kong lands a big right hand that sends Stinson crashing to the mat! Kong stays standing though and waves Stinson back to his feet!


Stinson is rocked!

Kong with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Oh Stinson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kong knocks out Stinson with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Kong before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Kong picks up the big W with a huge KO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:10 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). King Kong!
Jumping up and down and very excited, King Kong waved his t-shirt featuring Pinoy Fightwear (90% Laundry)'s logo in front of the cameras.
