Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between LT Blastoise (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mati Czarny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Blastoise scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Blastoise wants to stand but Czarny has his arm trapped.
Blastoise creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Czarny sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Czarny takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
The referee asks Blastoise politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Blastoise prefers to stall for the moment though.
Czarny really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Blastoise. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Blastoise thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Blastoise lands a decent elbow from side control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Czarny can do anything to dispel that myth.
Czarny prevents Blastoise from moving into mount.
Blastoise sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Czarny is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Blastoise lands a few punches from side control.

Blastoise decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Czarny tries to score a power double leg takedown but Blastoise sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Czarny somewhat.

Blastoise looks for the body kick but Czarny saw that one coming.
Blastoise throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Mati Czarny seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Blastoise has closed the distance and engaged Czarny in a clinch.

Blastoise has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Czarny clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Blastoise scores with strikes from the back.
Czarny looking very determined here, making life difficult for Blastoise.
Blastoise has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Czarny.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Czarny tries to escape the position.
Blastoise is riding his opponent, not letting Czarny buck him off.
Czarny looks winded!

Blastoise is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Czarny knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Czarny for a finish.
Blastoise slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Blastoise working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Czarny is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Blastoise has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Czarny taps out!
