Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Argin Karatakayan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson Silva told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Silva enables Karatakayan to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Silva manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Karatakayan controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Silva can't keep his opponent in guard - Karatakayan advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Karatakayan wants to pass to mount but Silva is defending the position.

Karatakayan wants to work for an arm triangle but Silva is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Karatakayan looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Karatakayan lands a big elbow - Silva is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Karatakayan!
