Smith is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Macho Man is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Smith connects with a nice short shot to Macho Man's temple.

Smith has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Macho Man feints and as Smith raises his hands in defense, Macho Man changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Smith escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Macho Man gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Aj Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Super Macho Man.

Smith looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Macho Man is fending him off so far but Smith persists. Nope, Macho Man circles away and we're back to standing.
