Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Evan Better!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oscar Cardozo!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Better swats away the attempt to clinch by Cardozo.
Cardozo throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.


It looks like Evan Better has been cut.
Cardozo circles away from the clinch attempt.
Better tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Cardozo swivels and escapes.
Cardozo looks for a takedown but Better sprawls well.
Better shoots in for a takedown but Cardozo shows good takedown defense.
Better throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Cardozo counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Better stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Better wants it to stay on the feet.

and Better decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Cardozo's guard.

Better is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Better is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Cardozo to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Cardozo shrugs it off.
Cardozo wants to control but Better is having none of it.

Better lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Cardozo hang on?

Cardozo is trying desperately to improve position.

Better wants to finish this one by submission but Cardozo is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Better.

Better looking to isolate an arm here. Cardozo doesn't see it coming and as Better extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Better!
