PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alistair Nauman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buakaw Nahwatsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nahwatsu comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Two Towers kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Buakaw Nahwatsu will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Nauman.

Nahwatsu drives through with a takedown into Nauman's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Nauman is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Nahwatsu defends well.

Nauman escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nahwatsu gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nauman has his foot on Nahwatsu's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nahwatsu works his way back into a safe position though.

Nahwatsu lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nauman circles away quickly and effectively.

That was a close second round but I would say that Alistair Nauman will probably get the nod.

Nahwatsu throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Nauman stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Nauman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nahwatsu's waist but Nahwatsu gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Nauman off to one side.
