PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aegon Targaryen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikey Moo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Targaryen throws a nice looking combination but Moo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Targaryen misses with a two punch combination.

Moo remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Moo seems to be working for a kimura but Targaryen defends the submission attempt.

Moo has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Moo there as he acknowledges the shot.
Moo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Targaryen circles away quickly and effectively.
Targaryen moves into range and connects with a jab.
Moo looks to land a combination but Targaryen avoids it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Aegon Targaryen will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Moo has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Targaryen has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Targaryen is trying escape back to his feet. He turns into his opponent's guard and eventually finds his way back to his feet.
Moo lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Targaryen tries to bum rush Moo with a series of wild strikes but Moo uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Moo moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Moo doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Moo closes the distance and clinches up with Targaryen, looking for a takedown. Moo pushes Targaryen against the cage but Targaryen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Targaryen's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Moo connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Targaryen scrambles back to his feet.
Moo takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Moo shoots in but Targaryen avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Moo takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Moo walks into a stiff left hand from Targaryen.
Moo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Targaryen swivels and escapes.

Moo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Targaryen's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Moo won't allow Targaryen to get back to his feet.

Targaryen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Moo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Targaryen stops Moo from passing to mount.

Moo goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Targaryen has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Moo but great work by Targaryen.

Targaryen is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Moo has escaped the position, nice work there.
Moo tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Targaryen presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Targaryen is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Moo is just riding it out for now. Targaryen eventually gives up the hold.

I would just about give that final round to Mikey Moo.
