Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Burbank Bulldog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Levi Gene (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bulldog might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to British Bulldog. Levi Gene acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Burbank Bulldog!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Levi Gene!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Bulldog.
Gene connects with a leg kick. Bulldog looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Gene misses with the combination.
Gene throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bulldog's waist but Bulldog gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gene off to one side.
Bulldog goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Gene looks to score with a jab to the body but Bulldog is just out of range.
Gene misses with a jab, cross combination.

Gene tries to keep at a distance but Bulldog has taken the fight into the clinch.
Bulldog prevents a body shot from Gene.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Bulldog's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Bulldog shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Gene tries to kick Bulldog off but Bulldog keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gene trying to hold on to Bulldog's head to control him but Bulldog postures up.
Bulldog trying to control the action but Gene is working from the bottom.

Bulldog tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Bulldog seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Bulldog will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Gene, as that shot connected.
Gene works the jab nicely.
Bulldog has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Bulldog there as he acknowledges the shot.
No joy there for Bulldog, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Gene.
Gene throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Bulldog tries to clinch but Gene is having none of it.
Bulldog throws a right and a left that both miss.
Gene moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gene lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bulldog circles away quickly and effectively.
Bulldog fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Burbank Bulldog. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Gene clinches with his opponent.

Gene turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Bulldog regains half guard, as Gene was trying to land strikes.
Gene throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Bulldog keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Bulldog is trying to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gene thows a huge punch but Bulldog dodges it nicely.

Bulldog works his way to full guard. Good work.
Gene trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Gene with a flurry of punches that miss.
Bulldog utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Gene has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Gene stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Bulldog throws up his legs and catches Gene in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Gene tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Bulldog! That came out of nowhere!
