Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Probst (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roman Burza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Probst comes to the cage accompanied by Ballad of Worms. Burza has chosen Guns N' Roses - Welcome To The Jungle as his entrance music. Roman Burza has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeff Probst!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Roman Burza!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Alec Ball and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burza with a lazy takedown attempt
and Probst makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Burza really felt that one!
Probst throws a head kick that misses.
A clash of legs there as Probst blocks the low kick.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Burza.
Burza content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Burza is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Probst knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Probst is looking to reverse the position.

Probst is pushing Burza's head away, looking to escape. Burza manages to hold on to the position though.

Burza is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Probst is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Probst is trying to buck Burza off.
Burza throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Burza sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Probst is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Probst wants to control but Burza postures up.
Burza content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Probst is looking to regain half guard here but Burza keeps moving and retains side control.

Burza is looking to take a break and control but Probst is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Burza controls the position.
Burza misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Burza fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Probst is trying to get back to half guard.

Let's hope that Burza has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Burza jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Probst misses with a kick to the body.
Probst tries to bum rush Burza with a series of wild strikes but Burza uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Burza lands with a right hand.
Probst keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Probst tries to clinch there but Burza circles away.
Burza shoots in for a takedown but Probst shows good takedown defense.

Burza throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Probst throws a right and a left that both miss.
Jeff Probst is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Burza throws a hook but Probst avoids it easily.
Probst throws a low kick but Burza avoids it.
Good leg kick by Probst there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Probst swings for the body but Burza moves out of range.
Burza scores with a spinning back kick!
Burza thows a left - swing and a miss!
An inside leg kick from Burza misses.
Burza throws a right hand that Probst ducks under and follows up with a left that Probst also avoids with ease.
Probst is looking to clinch but Burza is avoiding it.
Burza misses with a low kick.

Burza lands a body shot.
Burza changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Probst tries to avoid it but Burza manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Probst to the ground. Probst escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jeff Probst has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roman Burza.
Probst misses with a body shot.
Burza shoots in but Probst avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Burza ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Probst moves away.
Burza tries for a takedown but Probst sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
A nice leg kick lands there from Probst.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Burza.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Probst takes one on the button.

Burza darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Burza trying to control from half guard but Probst is working away.
Probst wants to improve his position but Burza is controlling well.
Burza tries to pass the half guard into mount. Probst knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Probst wants to get back to full guard.
Probst is looking to control Burza's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Probst avoid being mounted?

Burza is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Probst has managed to free his arm - good work.
Burza trying to mount his opponent but Probst defends it.
Probst is trying to stand.
Burza wants to pass the guard but Probst is defending well.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Burza lands strikes from half guard.
Burza seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Probst does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Roman Burza showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

and Burza counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Burza tries to pass the half guard into mount. Probst knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Burza stops Probst from getting back to his feet.
Probst is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Probst tries to kick Burza off but Burza keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Probst is refusing to be controlled, as Burza sits in half guard.
Probst regains full guard. Nicely done.
Burza pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Probst is keeping the position for now.

Burza throws a big right hand that misses.
Burza is fighting to break Probst's control of his arms but Probst is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Probst looks to land a left hand but Burza moved out of range nicely.

and Burza counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Burza.
Burza trying to control but Probst is working from the bottom.
Burza throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Burza loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Burza wants to control from the top but Probst keeps moving.

Burza postures up in Probst's guard and throws a big left but Probst blocks it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Burza throws a strike but Probst rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Burza manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Burza with shots to the head and body - Probst looks very uncomfortable down there.
Burza tries to control but Probst wriggling away.

Burza throwing strikes here but Probst is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Probst regains half guard.
Burza has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Burza unloads with some shots from mount but Probst bucks and avoids them well.
Roman Burza is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Burza avoids the attempt from Probst to control.
Burza looking to control and managing it successfully.
Roman Burza has got the better of the ground game so far.
Burza trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Probst really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Burza controlling from mount.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Roman Burza comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Burza has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
