Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Conti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Gatti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Conti might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Shake Ya Tailfeather. Gatti has chosen Al Kapone - You Ain't Stoppin Me as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Conti fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Conti turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Gatti throws the left hand but Conti avoids the punch easily.
Gatti tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Conti was well out of range. Poor timing from Gatti.
Conti throws a right and a left that Gatti avoids nicely.
Gatti lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Conti circles away quickly and effectively.

Gatti connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Conti throws a combination. Gatti tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Thiago Conti seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Conti looks to score with a jab to the body but Gatti is just out of range.

Gatti ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Conti walks straight into a right hand from Gatti - that's dropped him! Gatti jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Conti from any more punishment! Conti complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

A relieved looking David Gatti thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
