Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Massive Destruction (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ned Alonso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Massive Destruction!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ned Alonso!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Alonso.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Destruction accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Destruction bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Alonso's guard.

Destruction is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Destruction has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Destruction distracts Alonso with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Alonso is on top in guard.

Destruction escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Alonso gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Destruction has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Alonso can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Alonso really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Destruction. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Destruction connects with a nice short shot to Alonso's temple.

Destruction in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Alonso tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Destruction!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Massive Destruction!
Post fight, an emotional Massive Destruction said 'Don't be scared homie !'.
