The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swmswomly fails with an attempt to clinch.

Swmswomly has Arce up against the cage in a clinch.
Swmswomly prevents a takedown attempt there.
Arce keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Swmswomly's efforts to push away.

Swmswomly breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Swmswomly tries to keep at a distance but Arce has taken the fight into the clinch.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Doctor Swmswomly wasn't active enough on the ground.
Swmswomly stalks Arce and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Arce's face. Arce staggers backwards, shaken.
Swmswomly tries to close the distance and clinch up but Arce swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Swmswomly throws a sloppy head kick and Arce moves out of range easily.

Swmswomly is looking to stand up but Arce isn't so interested in that idea.
Arce stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Swmswomly swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Arce thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

No joy there for Swmswomly, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Swmswomly connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Swmswomly will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Arce fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Swmswomly manages to avoid it.

Doctor Swmswomly showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

The fight stays on the outside here - Swmswomly looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Arce bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Swmswomly's head backwards.

It looks like Doctor Swmswomly has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Arce is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Swmswomly is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
