Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ronnie Putnam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John McClane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Putnam's entrance music is tap out. A fine choice. McClane has chosen Refuse/Resist as his entrance music. Ronnie Putnam had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John McClane!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Radbod Blank and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Putnam looks for a takedown but McClane sprawls well.
McClane cracks Putnam with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Putnam shoots in and drives through. McClane sprawls well.
McClane lands an overhand right.
Putnam tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
McClane cracks Putnam with a good jab.
Putnam shoots in for a double leg but McClane sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ronnie Putnam. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McClane scores with a jab to the jaw.
Horrible takedown by Putnam or perhaps it was just good defense by McClane which made him look bad.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McClane connects with a right hand. Putnam shakes it off.
Putnam shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says McClane as he avoids it easily.
McClane lands with a shot to the body.
Putnam shoots for a double leg takedown but McClane sprawls well. He's pushed Putnam's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
McClane stuffs the takedown attempt from Putnam. Putnam gets slowly back to his feet.
McClane scores with a jab to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Putnam shoots for a takedown but McClane saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
McClane fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Putnam.
McClane catches Putnam with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
McClane tests Putnam's chin there with a solid looking shot.
A lazy left from McClane finds it's target.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Putnam is defended easily by McClane.
McClane cracks Putnam with a right hand to the side of the head.
McClane plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
A big right from McClane misses.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McClane scores with a hook to the body. Putnam takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
McClane jabs Putnam to the body, keeping him at a distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Putnam fails to land the takedown.
A jab from McClane does it's job there.
Putnam takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
McClane lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
McClane lands a left and a right that send Putnam crashing to the mat, dazed. McClane thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Putnam is rocked!
Putnam looks up at the clock. Bad move! McClane lands a right hand from hell, dropping Putnam. McClane pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John McClane!
After the fight, John McClane was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
