Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Piru Parka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sean Stone!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parka misses with a double jab
and Stone counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Parka is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Parka misses with a few strikes there.
Parka throws a combination that misses
and Stone counters with a leg kick.
Stone takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.


It looks like Sean Stone has been cut.
Stone throws a nice looking combination but Parka bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Stone.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Stone.
Parka ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Stone fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Parka sprawls well initially but Stone persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Stone thows a huge punch but Parka dodges it nicely.

Stone wants to pass to mount but Parka is defending the position.
Stone looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Stone is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Parka wants to get back to full guard but Stone has mounted him!
Parka is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
A nice elbow there by Stone.

Stone is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Parka has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Parka!
Parka is looking to stand up but Stone won't let him.

Stone working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Parka doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Parka manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stone is looking to improve his position but Parka isn't that keen on the idea.

Stone feints and then cracks Parka's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Parka down.
Stone changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Parka tries to avoid it but Stone manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Parka to the ground. Parka escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Stone throws a low kick, looking for Parka's leg but Parka calmly moves out of range.

and Stone counters with a low kick, right behind Parka 's knee.

Stone lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Parka is looking to wear down Stone with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Stone fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Parka.
Stone has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Parka gets caught napping as Stone dives in and scores a takedown. Parka manages to retain guard.
Stone content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Stone stands and throws Parka's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Stone is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Parka knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Parka wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Parka takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Stone in side control, throwing shots but Parka defends.
Parka is pushing Stone's head away, looking to escape. Stone manages to hold on to the position though.
Stone has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Parka regains half guard, as Stone was trying to land strikes.

Stone lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Stone is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Parka!

Stone is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Parka to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Parka shrugs it off.
Parka is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Stone pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Stone working the ground and pound effectively.
Stone landing strikes from the mount and Parka is in trouble!


Parka is rocked!
Stone cracks Parka with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
