Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tanner Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tanner Stevens could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jason King's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tanner Stevens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason King!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stevens closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming King to the mat! King manages to get full guard.
King pulls Stevens in close to prevent any damage.
King tries to land a sweep but no joy.
King not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
King keeping moving, preventing Stevens from controlling successfully.

Tanner Stevens has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
King tries to clinch up.
A big right from King misses.
King fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Stevens takes the fight into the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.

King breaks the clinch.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Stevens enables King to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Stevens manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

King is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

King trying to control the position from guard on top but Stevens is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Stevens escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. King gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
King would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
King wants to control from the top but Stevens keeps moving.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Stevens not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

King postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Stevens is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of King, into his guard.

King is looking for a triangle but Stevens pushes his legs off easily.
King looks winded!
Stevens wanted to stand there but King had control of the position.

King has Stevens pulled in close to control his posture.
King trying to keep a closed guard but Stevens is proving a slippery customer.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Stevens with a flurry of punches that miss.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Tanner Stevens will probably get the nod.

King stuffs the takedown.
Stevens feints a jab promting King to slip. Stevens then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. King slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.


It looks like Jason King has been cut.
Stevens scores with a nice right hand.
Stevens goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

King gets caught napping as Stevens dives in and scores a takedown. King manages to retain guard.
Stevens might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
King manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

King is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Stevens is surviving well by controlling King's body position as best he can.
King avoids the attempt from Stevens to control.

King tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Stevens looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
King punches the canvas rather than the man.
King struggling to keep hold of the position.

King is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

King somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.

King seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Stevens's chin but Stevens turns very nicely into King's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Stevens.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Stevens drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Stevens trying to control but King is working from the bottom.
Stevens wanted to stand there but King had control of the position.
King is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Stevens is controlling him.
Stevens is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
King looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Tanner Stevens just wasn't active enough.
Stevens slips a jab from King.
King throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Stevens misses the shot to the body.
King tries to clinch but Stevens is having none of it.
King shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Stevens sprawls well. Stevens wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. King gets slowly back to his feet.
King takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Stevens scores with a three punch combo!

Stevens rushes King and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
King tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Stevens throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
This has been an exciting period of action!
King is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Stevens lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt King or not.
Stevens misses with a knee strike.
King drops down looking for an ankle pick but Stevens pulls his leg out and moves away.
Tanner Stevens has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason King.

Stevens feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stevens drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Stevens jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Stevens is fighting to break King's control of his arms but King is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Stevens looking to sit in guard and control but King gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Stevens pulls King in close to prevent any damage.
King tries to free his leg and advance position but Stevens is retaining full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Stevens has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes King off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Stevens is trying hard to land a takedown here. King sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
No luck for King with that takedown attempt.
King tries to close the distance and clinch but Stevens swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Stevens fails with an attempt to clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Stevens tries to clinch but King moves out of range.
No luck for Stevens with that takedown attempt.

King drives through with a takedown into Stevens's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

And that's the end of the fight!
Tanner Stevens showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Stevens has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
