The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Traverse lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
The fighters circling - Traverse throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Traverse throws a body punch but King moves out of range.
King throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
King tries to clinch up but Traverse circles away and keeps his distance.
Traverse misses with a wild body shot.
King doesn't manage to clinch there - Traverse circles away.
Brian King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
King tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Traverse manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Traverse throws a shot to the body.
Traverse throws a lazy right hand but King sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
King throws a series of punches but Traverse moves out of range.
Traverse ducks under a wild hook from King.
King tries to clinch up but Traverse circles away and keeps his distance.

King scores with a takedown into Traverse's guard.

Traverse has his feet on King's thighs here. He's pushed King off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! King screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
