PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vlade Tintor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Trice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trice is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Gun Walk. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tintor misses with a double jab.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Tintor checks a leg kick.

It looks like Tommy Trice has been cut.
Trice will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Trice swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Tintor counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Tintor moves forwards but Trice connects with a nice, crisp jab.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Trice is looking to stand up but Tintor isn't so interested in that idea.
Tintor trying to control the position from guard on top but Trice is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tintor stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Trice swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Tintor seems to be working for a kimura but Trice defends the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Trice wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tintor is trying to control. Trice wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Tintor is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Tintor is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Trice sees it coming and defends easily.

Tintor is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Trice defends it well.

Trice throws a series of punches but Tintor avoids them all with ease.

Trice is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tintor thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Trice's head.

Tintor is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Trice doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Tintor.

Trice pushes Tintor off looking to stand but Tintor dives back in and keeps control.

Tintor has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Trice defend it? Tintor steps over the head and cranks it - Trice is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Tintor!
