Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ron Chalmers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Mitchel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chalmers comes into the arena with Hash Pipe by Weezer blaring out of the sound system. Greg Mitchel has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mitchel shoots in for a double leg but Chalmers sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Mitchel tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Chalmers lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Mitchel fails with the takedown.
Mitchel is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

and Chalmers counters with a crisp one two that drops Mitchel! Chalmers thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Mitchel to his feet! Mitchel is in big trouble!

It looks like Greg Mitchel has been cut.
Ron Chalmers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Greg Mitchel.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Chalmers throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Chalmers has cracked Mitchel with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Chalmers lands another huge swinging hook and Mitchel tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Mitchel, before Chalmers can land any more shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Ron Chalmers!
A relieved looking Ron Chalmers thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
