PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Timothy Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Riddle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Riddle comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Tech N9ne - Be Jealous kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Timothy Diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Daniel Riddle!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Emerson Jorge and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Riddle drives through and clinches with Diaz against the cage.
Riddle has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Diaz is trying to maintain a safe position but Riddle gets an underhook and turns Diaz into the cage.
Diaz prevents Riddle from breaking the clinch.

Riddle successfully pulls guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Riddle wants to get back to his feet but Diaz is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Diaz stands up from Riddle's guard - Diaz perhaps looking for a knockout.

Daniel Riddle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Riddle throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Diaz's waist but Diaz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Riddle off to one side.

Riddle lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Riddle connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Diaz tumbling to the canvas! Riddle pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Diaz was done - good stoppage!
