Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Spar Bjj (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hettie Kate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kate is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Peanuts Theme. Hettie Kate has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bjj is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kate sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Kate clinches.
Kate pushes Bjj back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Kate tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Bjj goes for a takedown attempt but Kate pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Kate misses with a few strikes there.
Kate thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Bjj if he has to take too many more of those.
Bjj showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kate.
Kate throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.

Kate gets a clinch.
Bjj wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Spar Bjj. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kate lands a damaging elbow.
A right handed body shot lands from Kate.

Bjj drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kate pulls his leg out and moves away.
Kate pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kate fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Bjj on the side of the head.
Kate chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Kate throws a sloppy head kick and Bjj moves out of range easily.
A head kick from Kate lands but Bjj takes it in his stride.
Hettie Kate is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kate feints a jab promting Bjj to slip. Kate then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Bjj slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Bjj on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Kate lands a leg kick that knocks Bjj off balance momentarily.

Kate is looking to slow Bjj down with leg kicks.

Kate closes the distance and clinches.
Bjj blocks a body shot from Kate.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Kate.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kate lands a damaging elbow.
Bjj wants a takedown.
Kate unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Kate lands a body shot in the clinch.
Bjj has Kate pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Kate manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Bjj takes an elbow to the forehead.
Bjj goes for a takedown attempt but Kate pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Kate is looking to clinch but Bjj is avoiding it.

Bjj takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
An inside leg kick lands from Kate.
Kate chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Bjj avoids the head kick by Kate.
Kate throws a body kick that misses.
Kate wants to clinch.

Kate rushes Bjj and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Kate comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Kate obliges.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bjj is looking for a takedown.
Kate with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Bjj can't get the takedown.
Bjj tries for a takedown but Kate manages to get underhooks.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kate with a knee to the head.
Kate with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Nice elbow from Kate.
Kate lands a body shot.
A short right from Kate.

Kate drops Bjj with a big knee straight up the middle! Bjj is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!

Bjj is rocked!

It looks like Spar Bjj has been cut.
Kate scores with a kick to the midsection.
Oh Bjj is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bjj is breathing heavily.
Kate tries to close the distance and clinch but Bjj swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Kate. Bjj shrugs it off though.
Kate lands a head kick. Bjj smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Kate buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hettie Kate dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Spar Bjj's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

A head kick misses from Kate.
Bjj seems to have got his legs back now.
Bjj takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Bjj avoids the head kick by Kate.
Kate throws a head kick but Bjj moves out of range.

Bjj shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kate napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Bjj has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Kate is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Bjj yanks on the arm and Kate is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Bjj.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Spar Bjj!
A relieved looking Spar Bjj thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
