Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Aljur Abrenica (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Manley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Abrenica might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to AA Entrance Song. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abrenica tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Manley counters with a stiff right hand.
Abrenica fails in his attempt to clinch.
Manley circles away from the clinch attempt
and Manley counters with a straight right hand.
Abrenica moves in looking to clinch but Manley pushes him off.
Abrenica is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

and Manley counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Manley swats away the attempt to clinch by Abrenica.

and Manley connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Abrenica is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

and Manley counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Manley is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Manley misses with the combination.
Abrenica closes the distance but Manley moves to the side
and Manley cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Abrenica takes a jab right on the kisser.

and Manley counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

and Manley counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Abrenica drives through and clinches with Manley against the cage.
Manley is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Abrenica lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Manley is pressing down on Abrenica's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Abrenica wants to control from the top but Manley keeps moving.

Abrenica tries to free his leg and advance position but Manley is retaining full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We're going to have a standup here because Aljur Abrenica wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Abrenica darts in trying to clinch
and Manley counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Abrenica thinking.

Abrenica is looking to clinch but Manley is avoiding it.
Abrenica tries to clinch but Manley is having none of it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Abrenica looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Abrenica tries to clinch up but Manley circles away and keeps his distance.
Manley is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Abrenica closes the distance but Manley moves to the side
and Manley counters with a right hand to the body.

and Manley counters with a nice uppercut.
Manley feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Abrenicas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Manley circles away from the clinch attempt
and Manley counters with a thumping low kick.
Abrenica is breathing heavily.
Manley throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Abrenica crashing down! Abrenica tries to stagger back to his feet but Manley just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Abrenica asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Justin Manley!
Justin Manley is the new middleweight champion!
Justin Manley decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
