Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between David Lang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kalevi Holger Routakirves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lang comes to the cage accompanied by Ice cream paint job. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kalevi Holger Routakirves!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, John Mangel and Steve Erwin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lang fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Routakirves, pushing him back against the cage.
Lang prevents a takedown attempt there.
Routakirves has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Lang after a bit of a struggle.
Routakirves throws a head punch that misses.
Routakirves misses with a punch to the body.

Lang has hold of one of Routakirves's legs. Routakirves is fighting the takedown attempt but Lang gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Lang is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Lang trying to control but Routakirves is working from the bottom.

Lang avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Routakirves escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lang gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Lang wants to control from the top but Routakirves keeps moving.
Lang trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Lang passes into half guard.

Routakirves is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Routakirves is in trouble now - Lang has advanced to mount!
Routakirves is looking to improve his position but Lang isn't that keen on the idea.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Routakirves is looking to get to half guard.
Routakirves in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Routakirves is in a horrible position here. Lang smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Lang lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Routakirves is rocked!
Routakirves is looking to improve his position but Lang isn't that keen on the idea.
Routakirves is still in real trouble! Can Lang finish him?
Lang pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lang unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Routakirves wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Lang celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

During a confident post fight interview, David Lang thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
