Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Isaiah Ferguson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Walter Rothko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Isaiah Ferguson has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Isaiah Ferguson seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferguson closes the distance looking to clinch
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Ferguson throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Ferguson stuffs the takedown.
Rothko stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rothko wants it to stay on the feet.
Ferguson moves to clinch but Rothko breaks away
and Rothko counters with a nice low kick that buckles Ferguson's knee momentarily.

Rothko is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Rothko shoots in looking for a takedown but Ferguson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rothko 's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Rothko throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ferguson's waist but Ferguson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rothko off to one side.

Ferguson is trying to pull guard but Rothko turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Ferguson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rothko smiles and moves away.
Rothko is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Ferguson's half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Rothko in particular looking to stall.

Ferguson will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Rothko changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ferguson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Rothko is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ferguson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Rothko rushes Ferguson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Ferguson is pressed up against the cage. Rothko has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ferguson down to the mat. Ferguson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Ferguson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Rothko on his heels. He'll look to pass Rothko 's guard now, I'm sure.
