The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bonnar tries to clinch
and Alexander counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Jab, jab by Alexander - just one landing.
Alexander throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
The fight stays on the outside here - Bonnar looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Forrest Bonnar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bonnar tries to clinch up
and Alexander counters with a nice uppercut.
Bonnar tries to close the distance and clinch up but Alexander swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Alexander lands a brutal head kick. Bonnar looks out on his feet and Alexander throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
