Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Edgar Rodrigues!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Alexandre Firmino and Emerson Jorge.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hassan stalks Rodrigues and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Rodrigues's face. Rodrigues staggers backwards, shaken.
Hassan misses with a series of wild punches.
Rodrigues tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hassan manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Rodrigues throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hassan.
Rodrigues fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hassan avoids it really well and circles away.
Rodrigues takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Hassan tries to bum rush Rodrigues with a series of wild strikes but Rodrigues uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Rodrigues tries to clinch up but Hassan circles away and keeps his distance.
Hassan displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Hassan swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Rodrigues counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Hassan thinking.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rodrigues shoots in for a takedown but Hassan shows good takedown defense.
Hassan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Rodrigues takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Hassan checks the leg kick.
Rodrigues tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hassan swivels and escapes.
Hashim Jalilul Hassan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Edgar Rodrigues.
Hassan's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Hassan duly obliges.

Rodrigues is rocked!
