Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kenji Watanabe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Iain Durrant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Kenji Watanabe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 29 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Iain Durrant!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watanabe throws an off balance right hand
and Durrant counters with a one-two to the body.
Kenji Watanabe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Durrant gets a double leg takedown into Watanabe's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Watanabe is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Durrant's shoulder. That is not cool.

Watanabe tries to close the distance and clinch but Durrant swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Durrant shoots in and drives through. Watanabe sprawls well.

I would just about give that final round to Iain Durrant.
Well Watanabe has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
