Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Billy The Kid!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
22 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Ryan Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Anthony Taglia and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The Kid looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Gracie wants to control for a moment but The Kid uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

Gracie stopping the sweep attempt from The Kid.
Gracie postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Gracie has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Gracie sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed The Kid's guard.
Gracie thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Gracie is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Gracie is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Gracie has hold of The Kid's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and The Kid manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Gracie looking to isolate an arm here. The Kid doesn't see it coming and as Gracie extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Gracie!

In his post fight interview, Ryan Gracie started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
