Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lil Peque!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fedor Emelianenko!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Emelianenko shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Emelianenko showed some decent athleticism there.

Peque looking for submissions off his back.
Emelianenko misses with a head shot. Peque uses the momentum to regain guard.
Emelianenko is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Peque controls Emelianenko momentarily but Emelianenko frees himself.

Emelianenko shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Emelianenko was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Peque is looking to regain half guard here but Emelianenko keeps moving and retains side control.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Emelianenko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Peque. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Emelianenko tries to stand but Peque is controlling his head.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Emelianenko escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Emelianenko looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Peque is fending him off so far but Emelianenko persists. Nope, Peque circles away and we're back to standing.

Emelianenko is trying to trip Peque. He has hold of a leg but Peque is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Emelianenko persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Peque has his foot on Emelianenko's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Emelianenko works his way back into a safe position though.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Emelianenko gets to his feet. Peque looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Emelianenko would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Emelianenko stands up over Peque, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Emelianenko has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Emelianenko wants to stand but Peque has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Emelianenko throws a big right hand that misses.

Peque had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Emelianenko defends it easily.
Emelianenko throws a big elbow that misses.
Emelianenko wants to control from the top but Peque keeps moving.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Emelianenko slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Fedor Emelianenko.
Peque has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Peque gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Peque has a closed guard, preventing Emelianenko from standing up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Peque is controlling Emelianenko's posture.

Fedor Emelianenko showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Peque's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Emelianenko takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Emelianenko takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Peque moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Emelianenko throws a sloppy strike and Peque has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Emelianenko is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Peque!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Lil Peque!
After the fight, Lil Peque was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
