Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bart Maniac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Tombo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bart Maniac!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Brian Tombo!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maniac keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Brian Tombo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tombo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Maniac moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Tombo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Maniac takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

and Maniac counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Maniac won't allow Tombo to get back to his feet.

Maniac has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Maniac accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Maniac is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Tombo can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

You get the feeling that Tombo really doesn't like being in this position too much.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Tombo cracks Maniac with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Maniac closes the distance and pushes Tombo back into the cage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Maniac - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Maniac changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tombo looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Maniac is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Tombo knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bart Maniac will probably get the nod.
