Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between How Long (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Ludher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Long kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Anthem by Onra. Ludher is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Shook Ones Part II - by Mobb Deep. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

With a record of 10 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, David Ludher!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Long has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Ludher finds it's way round the side to connect with Long's head.
Ludher lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Long at a distance.

Long forces Ludher back against the cage and clinches.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Ludher as Long tries to tie him up.
A short right from Ludher on the inside.
Ludher is looking to control Long's arms but Long gets an underhook and turns him. Now Ludher has his back to the cage.
Long lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Long misses with a punch on the inside.
Ludher is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Ludher lands an elbow that stopped Long in his tracks for a moment.


It looks like How Long has been cut.
Ludher is trying to break free.
Ludher misses with a body punch.
Long can't find room to land a body shot as Ludher controls the action.

Ludher breaks the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ludher ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Horrible takedown by Long or perhaps it was just good defense by Ludher which made him look bad.
Ludher thows a body shot but no joy.

David Ludher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ludher throws an overhand right that lands on Long's shoulder, as Long tries to avoid the shot.

A nice glancing elbow lands by Ludher.
Long pushes Ludher back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Ludher is struggling to control the position.
Ludher throws a knee to the head but misses.
Ludher can't find room to land a body shot as Long controls the action.
Long prevents Ludher from breaking the clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Long.

Long keeps control of Ludher as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Long wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ludher keeps working.

Long is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ludher is just riding it out for now. Long eventually gives up the hold.
Long is looking to advance position but Ludher won't allow it.

Ludher works his way to full guard. Good work.
Long scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Ludher looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Long trying to control but Ludher is working from the bottom.
Long working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Ludher's head.
Long seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Ludher looking for a triangle here. Long is fighting it but it looks tight! Ludher pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Long is tapping out - this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). David Ludher!
David Ludher is the new middleweight champion!
Post fight, David Ludher stared into the camera and said 'I am here to finish fights. And I can promise all you fans that there will be no lay and pray in my fights.'.
