Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Jiang Shi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dirk Janssen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dirk Janssen!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Radbod Blank and Paulsen Ambrosius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Janssen takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Shi lands with a kick to the temple. Janssen shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Shi tries to land a front kick but Janssen steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Shi lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Shi throws a body kick that misses
and Janssen counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Shi scores with a head kick. Janssen tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Shi lands with a slapping head kick.
Shi fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Janssen has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Shi tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Janssen takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Shi connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Janssen momentarily.

Shi throws a right hand that Janssen ducks under and follows up with a left that Janssen also avoids with ease.

Shi throws a shot from downtown. Janssen moves away and avoids it.
That kick from Shi tenderised Janssen's leg. Janssen is trying to keep his angry face on.
Shi dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Janssen. That did some damage!

Janssen is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Janssen avoids a punch combination nicely.

Shi pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jiang Shi dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

enabling Janssen to counter with a crisp jab.
Shi bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Shi throws a solid leg kick but Janssen takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Shi.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Shi - that will leave a mark!
Shi throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Janssen avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Shi misses the jab.
Shi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jiang Shi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shi throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Shi throws a body punch but Janssen moves out of range.
Shi throws a head kick but Janssen moves out of range.

and Janssen counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Janssen.
Janssen blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Shi effectively controlling the action here.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Janssen wants to get back to striking at distance but Shi won't allow it.
Janssen has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Shi pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Shi throws the kick towards the body but Janssen avoids it.
Shi goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Shi.
Shi throws a head kick that misses
and Janssen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Shi walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Janssen checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Janssen's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Shi throws a leg kick but Janssen sees it coming and moves out of range.
Shi misses with an uppercut
and Janssen counters with a thumping low kick.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Shi goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Janssen throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Shi thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Janssen if he has to take too many more of those.
Shi loads up on a big right hand but Janssen slips the punch.

and Janssen counters with a nice uppercut that drops Shi onto his backside! Shi bounces straight back to his feet before we have a chance to even start the count. He'll get the standing 8 count anyway before we get back underway.
