Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Andrew Palownski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Georgie Landis!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Palownski shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Palownski showed some decent athleticism there.
Palownski is pressing down on Landis's thigh, looking to free his foot. Landis is holding on for now.
Palownski works his way into full mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Palownski goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Landis turns into him and now he's in Palownski's guard.

Landis avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Landis won't allow Palownski to sweep him here.
Landis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Palownski swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Landis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Palownski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Palownski has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Landis can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Palownski wants to sweep here but Landis controlling him for the moment.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Palownski is looking for a triangle but Landis pushes his legs off easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Landis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Palownski swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Landis looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Palownski won't allow Landis to pass to mount.
Palownski is looking to improve his position.
Landis is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Palownski!

Palownski keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Andrew Palownski will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


The fight stays on the outside here - Palownski looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Palownski needs to keep his hands up - Landis had a free shot at his head there.


It looks like Andrew Palownski has been cut.
Palownski fails with the takedown.
Landis keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Palownski slips a jab and a cross from Landis.
The fighters circle momentarily. Landis darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Landis cracks Palownski with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Palownski tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Landis pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Palownski is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Georgie Landis!
