PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rizzy Kock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stanislav Moninov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kock might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to 45 from Shinedown. The key to victory for Rizzy Kock has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rizzy Kock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Stanislav Moninov!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kock throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Moninov's waist but Moninov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kock off to one side.
Moninov displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kock.
Kock shoots in for a double leg but Moninov sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rizzy Kock. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kock shoots in for a takedown but Moninov shows good takedown defense.

Kock drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Moninov is trying to control Kock's posture but Kock avoids it.
Moninov is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Kock off and has taken his back!

Moninov is hanging on to Kock's back as he tries to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Moninov is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Moninov looking to break Kock's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Kock remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Moninov will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Kock is trying to break free.
Oooh a big shot gets through from Moninov. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Kock breaks Moninov's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Moninov manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Kock doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Moninov moves into the clinch.

Moninov wants to break the clinch but can't.

Kock breaks from the clinch.
Kock shoots in looking for a takedown. Moninov tries to sprawl out of it but Kock keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Moninov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Moninov throws a right and a left that both miss.
Moninov stuffs the takedown.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kock.
Kock is breathing heavily.
Kock tries to score a power double leg takedown but Moninov sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kock somewhat.
Rizzy Kock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kock gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Moninov counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Moninov slips nicely into half guard.
Moninov is trying to control. Kock wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Kock is in trouble now - Moninov has advanced to mount!
Kock is bucking up trying to escape but Moninov cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Kock tries to hold on but Moninov postures up.

Moninov is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Kock is surviving well by controlling Moninov's body position as best he can.
Kock wants to hold on but Moninov pushes him away.

Moninov swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Kock is now in Moninov's guard. A big mistake from Moninov there, giving up the dominant position!

Moninov working for a triangle but Kock defends it easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kock pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Moninov is keeping the position for now.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Moninov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kock's waist but Kock gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Moninov off to one side.

and Moninov counters by moving into the clinch.
Moninov tries to land knees in the clinch but Kock avoids the damage to the body.
Moninov has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Kock is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Kock tries for a takedown but Moninov manages to get underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rizzy Kock. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Moninov tries to score a body lock takedown but Kock shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Kock lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Moninov kicks Kock off and gets back to his feet.

Moninov instigates a clinch.
Moninov wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Kock drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Moninov gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Moninov is trying to force a seperation but Kock has the dominant position.

Kock tries for a takedown but Moninov manages to get underhooks.
Kock is pressed up against the cage. Moninov has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kock down to the mat. Kock avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kock.
Moninov slaps away a takedown attempt from Kock, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kock is defended easily by Moninov.
Moninov dives in and grabs Kock's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kock pushes down on Moninov's head and hops out.
Kock shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Moninov defends it nicely.

With the fighters up against the cage, Kock throws an elbow but misses.
Moninov is trying to push Kock away but Kock has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Kock tries for a takedown. No joy.
Moninov has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Kock is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Moninov prevents the takedown attempt.
Moninov can't break the clinch.

Kock is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Moninov is defending well.
Kock drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Moninov gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Kock is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Moninov gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Rizzy Kock will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

and Moninov counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kock won't be happy with that.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Moninov is trying to get an arm triangle but Kock is defending well.

Moninov is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Kock looks calm but he's in trouble here. Moninov gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Kock is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Moninov lets go of the hold and Kock can pop his arm back in it's socket.
